St Peter's services summary

You will find a warm welcome at St Peter's. There is a toddler area in church, and small children are always welcome among us.
There is a toilet in church with baby-changing facilities. After the 10.15am service we serve refreshments.

8.00am Holy Communion: a quiet, friendly 45 minute service that includes a short reflection on the Bible readings. On the first Sunday of every month the service is taken from the 1928 Prayer Book.

10.15am Family Communion: our main morning service for all ages is a classic Church of England communion service with hymns and a sermon. It lasts about one hour. Creche and Children's Church meet in our Church Centre at the same time as the service, and the children come into church to join the adults for the final part of the service. A Youth Group meets in the same way on 2nd and 4th Sundays.

On the third Sunday of each month is Faith in 50 Minutes, a short, lively, participative service with a music group for all ages to worship together. It is particularly suitable for people who are new to Christian worship, and for families.

Connections is relaxed, informal and interactive and meets in the Church Centre at 10:15 each Sunday. Our aim is to use one hour each week to enjoy being with God together, and to bring our faith into our whole lives, in the way Jesus did. Everyone is welcome. Cafe Connections on the first Sunday each month is relaxed, informal and interactive worship for all ages. We have a bacon-butty breakfast and finish in 40 mins, so not even the littlest get bored.

6.30pm Evensong: a traditional, thoughtful service that lasts about an hour with hymns and a sermon to round off Sunday. On the first Sunday of the month we have a Simple Evensong, a short, peaceful service with no music.

Once every two months there is Tea and Taize where we meet at 6pm for tea and cake, then find spiritual refeshment in a short service of singing and quiet reflection based on the worship of the Taize Community in France.
